Back in September I was in between jobs and could not afford dental insurance in Levittown. Dr. Mekawy and their staff gave me information on a dental plan for people who can’t normally afford dental care. That’s just how awesome they are. I went in thinking I had two cavities that needed to be filled. I was in a little bit of pain because of them. I explained what had been going on and gave her a document that my primary dentist in Levittown had given me, which said what dental work I needed. Because of this payment plan, I am now able to afford the dental work that needs to be done that otherwise I could not afford it.

I’ve only been here for a checkup but I’m already very impressed with Big Apple Dental. I was running late, so they only had time for the checkup and told me to come back for the cleaning, but I still can’t believe how caring they were, they really took time to listen to my questions and concerns. The dentist in Wyandanch was very thorough when he went through my x-rays, he explained everything that was going on with my mouth. The hygienist was great too, he went through everything with me, and especially explained the effects of my teeth grinding to me. I never knew I grind my teeth at night, but it helped me realize the cause of a lot of the issues I was having with my teeth. The staff could tell I was anxious so they tried to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. Everyone there was very detail oriented and caring. I love this place, and I am actually looking forward to going back, which is weird to say about the dentist.

I am so impressed with Dr. Rchard Kaufman. I suppose I am one of those rare people that likes to go get their teeth worked on. For me, nothing feels better than having clean teeth. I also like knowing that when I go to Dr. Kaufman's office I will be dealing with a highly-skilled dentist and personable staff. Though I still don’t like going to my dental visits, Everlasting Smiles Dental is the best dentist near me, and I’ve been to a lot of them! In my previous experiences, I either discovered a fantastic staff with a horrible dentist or a great dentist with a terrible hygienist and office staff who made you feel like a burden. But Dr. Afridi’s dental practice is the best of both worlds. The staff is so friendly and kind, and the super-professional hygienists put your comfort first. The receptionist/bookkeeper always helps me navigate my insurance and what I owe as well as scheduling appointments. All the great reviews are true. Though I did wait a little bit, I’ve had to wait longer at other places, and I guarantee they only made me wait because patients weren’t coming in on time, which will push back all the other appointments after it. Or maybe Dr. Afridi was tending to an emergency and wanted to make sure his patient was being taken care of. I would happily wait a long time if needed just to get the high level of service and dental care this place has to offer, knowing that once I get in the dental chair, they won’t rush me out to keep on schedule. My experience with Dr. Rosen was very positive. I had never received a crown before and was anxious. The staff was very understanding and made my experience more positive than I anticipated. This place is awesome, I always feel comfortable when I’m here. The entire staff and Dr. Aknouk are great. You can really tell they love their jobs. I’ve had Dr. Aknouk put in my gold inlay replaced my old silver fillings with porcelain computer-made filling. They’re both very friendly. I had an emergency a couple months ago when my daughter had her front tooth knocked out and Dr. Aknouk came in on his day off to do a root canal on her. This clinic is wonderful, I would highly recommend it and won’t be going anywhere else.

I’m actually excited to go back and see her.

Out of all the “adulting” tasks, going to the dentist is one of my least favorite. After looking at online reviews, I decided to call Dr. Lerner's office. I gave them my insurance information, and they called me back within an hour to help me schedule the appointment. The receptionist that I spoke with on the phone was incredibly kind and helpful. She made scheduling an appointment very easy, especially for a new patient. When I arrived, multiple staff members greeted me very kindly. After being called back, they took me to get some x-rays done and then assigned me to a room. The office was clean and cozy. The staff is very charismatic. They're also very honest, which I greatly appreciate when it comes to a dentist. While I still don't like going to the dentist, I will be coming back in 6 months for my regular checkup. As long as I live in New York, New York, Dr. Howard Lerner will be my dentist.

He gave me some great tips to improve my dental health, and he is much more up to date with his knowledge about technology and procedures than my former dentist.
