I did my research and got quotes from multiple local dentists. When calling a dentist, you can get a true feel for the atmosphere in the office. This is especially true if you tell them up front that you don't have insurance. The X-ray, teeth cleaning, and crown sizing experience was very prompt and painless. The crown setting process was also very efficient and painless. I found the staff to be incredibly personable and helpful. I’m very happy with the dental service I got today. They provide quality work, and everyone there is very kind. My husband has a different dentist in the East side Lower Manhattan, but I might convince him and take him in. That’s how good they are. Dr. Armstrong and the assistant were both very kind. I had a dental emergency and when I got there I only had to wait 5 minutes. I was surprised I was able to get into the chair that fast when I hadn’t made an appointment in advance. A co-worker recommended Dr. Thomopoulos when I moved to Rego Park in 2017, and I love it there. The Queens Central Dental staff was so patient with me, helping guide me to the office. I filled out a few papers, and was taken back almost immediately. When I was taken back, I was greeted by friendly and very caring staff that were very gentle while taking my x-rays. They thoroughly explained everything was going to happen during the check-up, and I sat for only a few minutes before Dr. Ames came in to give me my exam. They too were very friendly, caring, and informed. They explained to me about what was going on with my teeth. I didn't have to ask a think, which was great. Everyone made me feel very comfortable. I have had the same dentist my entire life, but after marrying a Marine and moving away from home, I could no longer see my favorite; Dr. Ames thus had big shoes to fill, but I must say... so far, he's knocking it out of the park! When leaving, they gave me a bag, a tumbler cup, a nail file, and... A FLOWER! I couldn’t believe it! It's the little things in life that count! He has been our dentist for years, and the cleaning done by his staff is so good. They are quick to catch problems so they can monitor them closely. Dr. Rosen is so thorough with his exams, but our time in the chair has been minimal due to the positive cleanings and follow-ups. I have a fear of dentist offices and anything relating to dentistry. I have avoided dental work I've needed done for years. This morning, I needed to have a wisdom tooth extracted that was infected and giving me awful pain. From the start of the day when I called to inquire if Dr. Borgella was available, I was greeted kindly by the awesome staff person who answered the phone. She confirmed my insurance was accepted there, even giving an idea of what I'd pay for an extraction. Upon arriving in at Dr. Borgella’s office in Bronx, she nicely greeted me and proceeded to give me the paperwork to complete as a new patient. This is what was stunning to me, I was seen on time!! I went in, got my cleaning and met the dentist, Dr. Borgella, who was nice, informative, and clear. They told me things I needed done, in addition to the extraction, but did not pressure this as an upsell. Surgery was easy and quick! The only thing that hurt was getting the anesthesia in the roof of my mouth. Ten hours later, I have absolutely no pain, wow! I will be back to Dr. Borgella DDS. Everyone in the office was kind and professional and the prices are right on point.

I’d heard an advertisement on the radio and decided to give Dr. Hassid a shot. The ad said to come in no matter how scared of the dentist you were, and I have an extreme phobia. I needed my teeth cleaned and even some teeth extracted. Dr. Hassid did a double root canal, a couple bridges, and some implants. The receptionist staff was kind and everyone here was very helpful, from the office staff, to the dentist, to the dental assistants. They were all very knowledgeable and friendly. I felt like family coming here, and anyone in the area should check them out.

Plus, the staff all works well together, allowing things to run smoothly. After years of searching for a dentist with prices and great services, I decided to try Dr. Babayev. I appreciated her trustworthy nature, as she was very honest about what would and would not work for me. I wanted lumineers. Other dentists had told me I would be satisfied with only four lumineers, but Dr. Babayev disagreed. She said it wouldn’t be enough, and I likely dislike the results. I followed her advice and got the Lumineers. She was right. It was the best decision I could have made. I cannot tell you how much I love my teeth and how natural they look and feel. I saw a Dr. Kaufman today, the Saturday before New Year's Eve, without an appointment because I lost a crown last night. Granted, the crown was over 35 years old and had been done by another dentist, but I still needed it fixed. I expected to have a long wait, but the X-ray process was very efficient. Less than 10 minutes later, I was prepped to see Dr. Kaufman, who numbed me for the procedure. An hour later, I had a new temporary in place and a permanent crown had been ordered. I love the high quality technology they have at this practice. Instead of making an impression of my teeth in clay-filled tray of yore, they used 3D digital imaging to map out my teeth and photograph them for color matching. Same result without all the radiation! Dr. Kaufman was so expeditious and accommodating. Thank you so much!

I normally dread going to the dentist, but I’ve finally found a practice with a friendly staff who actually make appointments enjoyable. I called the office in Scarsdale, NY, and they were able to get me in the next day at the time I needed. When I showed up, the staff called me by name when I approached the front desk and assisted with my check-in. The team as a whole are so, and you can tell they genuinely enjoy working for Dr. Murphy. The dental hygienist did such a great job with my cleaning, and I was then fitted for a mouth guard and scheduled to come back for a filling, which was so small that it didn’t require novocaine. Back in September I was in between jobs and could not afford dental insurance in Levittown. Dr. Mekawy and their staff gave me information on a dental plan for people who can’t normally afford dental care. That’s just how awesome they are. I went in thinking I had two cavities that needed to be filled. I was in a little bit of pain because of them. I explained what had been going on and gave her a document that my primary dentist in Levittown had given me, which said what dental work I needed. Because of this payment plan, I am now able to afford the dental work that needs to be done that otherwise I could not afford it.
