Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Dr. Hurtado fondly recalls a childhood shaped by the love and guidance of his parents. His father was a pharmaceutical representative, and his mother dedicated herself to raising their close-knit family.

After relocating to the United States for his studies, Dr. Hurtado began his career in dentistry and quickly made his mark. He has been happily married to his wife, Blanca, for over 25 years, and together they’ve raised three children. Their eldest, Alexander, is pursuing Medicine; their middle child is studying Business; and their youngest, Andrea, is majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Psychology.

Dr. Turton earned his degree in dental surgery from the University of San Carlos in Guatemala before launching a successful practice in Guatemala City, where he practiced for 10 years. In 1999, he moved to California and obtained his Doctor of Dental Science license. He began his career as an associate at a well-established group practice in Orange County before seizing the opportunity to purchase a practice in Orcutt, CA, in 2001. After rebranding and revitalizing the office, he reopened it as Santa Maria Family Dentistry in 2002. An esteemed member of the California Dental Association (CDA), Central Coast Dental Society and the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Turton is also certified in Oral Conscious Sedation. Outside of the dental office, Dr. Turton is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys jogging, hiking, bicycling, and exploring the Central Coast on his motorcycle. He treasures the time spent with wife, Marie, and their two sons. Dr. Turton is also known for his storytelling, often sharing his rich experience with patients and friends.
