Doctors Network

From 1836 to 1845, Texas was its own independent nation, and it is the only state to have joined the U.S. through treaty rather than territorial annexation. Today, it is home to nearly 28 million people, making it the second most populous state (next to California) as well as the second largest (next to Alaska). Known as the Lone Star State, Texas’ independence and spirit has persevered throughout its history, and today’s Texans continue to do things their way. When it comes to dental health care, that means offering families across the state highly affordable alternatives to dental insurance through direct plans. Provided by your dentist in partnership with Doctors Network, a direct dental plan guarantees significant savings on all treatments that your dentist and oral health specialists provide, and it works whether or not you already have insurance coverage.

Doctors Network

Doctors Network was formed on the idea that everybody deserves affordable dental care, whether or not they already have insurance. Therefore, a direct dental plan operates independently of existing coverage; if you have insurance, then you can join without the plan affecting your insurance coverage or costs. With a direct plan, you can schedule checkup and cleaning appointments for only $25 per visit, including X-rays as often as necessary. If you require a more involved treatment plan, such as cosmetic teeth-whitening or lifelike crowns and dental implants, then your procedure can be discounted by up to 90%. Unlike insurance, joining Doctors Network only requires a low monthly fee, the exact price of which is determined directly by your dentist.

Just wonderful! I had a great visit at Heritage Dental in Katy. I thought I had a cavity because I hadn’t been to the dentist in a long time. The dental assistant was very humble and made me feel comfortable. The office is lovely, up-to-date, and furnished with the best dental technology. Dr. Nguyen is so nice and brilliant. I’m glad I found the best dentist near me! Highly recommended!

This is the best dentist near Katy, TX. The staff was nice and polite, and the doctor was professional and knowledgeable. Their top priority here is the patient's’ comfort. The dentist looked me over thoroughly and listened to all my concerns. He was very gentle when doing my exam. He obviously knows what he's doing. Highly recommend this dentist who provides great customer care.

This is the best dentist in Houston hands down. Dr. Mehta and his staff are kind, gentle and friendly. They treat you like an individual rather than just another person in the chair. I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Mehta, it truly is a dream come true. They make everything easy, from scheduling an appointment to filling out very little paperwork, which can be done on a touch screen computer. My dental treatment was a breeze, and they took my fear of the dentist away. I would recommend this place to anyone. I’m so glad I found my primary dentist.

I moved to Houston a few years back and was nervous about getting a new dentist. I finally picked Prestigious Smiles Dentistry, and I’ve been so happy ever since! The hygienist is incredible and sociable, and Dr. Zarghouni is so helpful and non-judgemental. She’s the best dentist near me!

What is tooth extraction?

a
ache-remover-696

Tooth extraction or tooth removal is classified into two main types: simple extractions and surgical extractions. Understanding the difference between these types can help you prepare for your procedure. 1. Simple Extraction: This method of tooth extraction is performed on a tooth that is fully erupted in the mouth and can be removed with dental forceps with relative ease. After administering a topical anesthetic and then local anesthetic (Novocaine) to numb the area, the dentist or oral surgeon loosens the tooth by luxating it with an instrument called a straight elevator and then removes it with surgical forceps. Simple dental extraction is typically performed without the need to cut the gum, which is called raising a gingival flap in technical terminology, which is the process of making an incision in the gum and then separating the entire thickness of the gum away from the underlying bone, thereby exposing the actual jaw bone under it. This is done usually for teeth that are carious, damaged, or need to be extracted for orthodontic reasons. 2. Surgical Extraction: Surgical tooth extractions are more complex and are considered for teeth that are not easily accessible, such as impacted wisdom teeth (3rd molars) or teeth that have very little clinical crown left of them. Root tips also need to be surgically exposed sometimes. This method involves making the aforementioned incision in the gum tissue to expose the tooth and the underlying bone. The tooth may be cut into smaller pieces for easy removal. Sometime it is even required to truph the bone surrounding the roots (alveolar bone). Truphing the bone is the process of cutting the alveolar bone around the tooth to loosen the roots further, usually done on roots that are significantly curved or ankylosed (adhered to the bone). Surgical dental extraction is usually performed under local anesthesia, but sedation options are also available usually for wisdom teeth removal or high anxiety patients. Surgical tooth extraction may be needed for impacted teeth that are deeply embedded in the jawbone.

It was so easy to find a doctor and make an appointment. I didn't have to take hours to call different offices and find out who takes my insurance and who doesn't.

I'm a freelancer, so I can't buy insurance easily, so I always ended up paying a lot for doctors' visits. I signed up for a Doctors Network dental plan, and my dental cleanings cost only $25 now. If you don't have dental insurance I highly recommend it.

I fell off my bike and chipped my front tooth. I was able to find and book an appointment online right away. Next time I need an appointment I'll try Doctors Network again.
