If you have a toothache, or a tooth that is chipped, you need dental care. Otherwise, the tooth could develop cavities and infections. Soon, there is a risk of not only missing teeth, but a spread of infection to other teeth. But sometimes, the damage or cavity is beyond the stage to be treated with a tooth filling or a root canal. Instead, the tooth could require immediate extraction. At Doctors Network, our team can help you book a visit with a private dentist or oral surgeon in Anchorage, AK who can offer a gentle tooth extraction as needed.

As we touched on above, severe cavities or injury could be why a tooth needs extraction. But a dentist could also remove one that is loosened by periodontal disease. Extracting a tooth could improve bite balance and chewing function. Extraction could also provide room for orthodontic treatment! In many cases, this could prevent the negative impact of wisdom tooth eruption. Removing wisdom teeth prior to eruption helps preserve the balance and appearance of your smile. For people with advanced tooth loss, removing the last few teeth essentially paves the way for a full prosthetic. Your Anchorage dentist could use the extraction to improve the function and health of your smile.

Now that you understand why and when a tooth may require removal, how do you seek care for one? Well, as mentioned above Doctors Network can connect you with a dentist in the Anchorage, AK area. But if you don’t have coverage, you may worry about costs. Fortunately, we have a financing option! Our dental membership plan is opened with an initial fee and maintained with a low monthly cost. For some, this could reduce the cost of care by up to 90%!

You probably know many people who have had their wisdom tooth removed and are eager to tell their story to you. While this can be helpful, it is still essential to consult with a professional. If you need your wisdom teeth pulled, it is best to have a wide range of information at your disposal. This will help you understand what to expect from wisdom teeth removal and what you should look for in a dentist. Luckily, Doctors Network can help you connect with a great dentist near you in Anchorage, AK that accepts new patients.

The third molars are located in the back of your mouth, and there is one on each quadrant. They typically appear between seventeen and twenty-five. Because wisdom teeth come in later than the rest of your teeth, their appearance can cause complications with your existing ones. They can erupt at unusual angles, only partially erupt, or overcrowd your current teeth. When this occurs, they are probably going to be affected by abscess and infections. If any of these conditions take place, it can be very painful and can damage your existing teeth. If you think you might have complications with wisdom teeth coming in, it is important to see a Anchorage dentist or oral surgeon as soon as possible.

If you need wisdom teeth extraction, your dentist will determine how they will go about the removal to make sure everything goes smoothly. They will determine how many of your teeth need to be removed and how complex it will be. They will also decide the appropriate type of sedation and the position of your existing teeth and nerve. Once they ascertain these details, they can plan your wisdom teeth extraction more easily. When you come in for the procedure, you will receive the appropriate sedation option, so you will not feel any pain. Your dentist will extract your teeth and look after you the entire time to make sure you are ok. Once your wisdom teeth are pulled, you will get information about the recovery period. Fortunately, there are many Anchorage dentists that accept new patients and can effectively extract your wisdom teeth.

It is crucial for kids to visit a dental professional on a semiannual basis for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching your children great oral health habits, you are ensuring that they have the skills to have healthy smiles for ever. If you are looking for a pediatric dental professional in Anchorage who takes uninsured patients, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering examinations and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with protective sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a shield between their permanent teeth and bacteria. This ultimately prevents the risk of decay by up to 80 percent. It is a simple procedure that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another proven tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps bolster your children’s enamel layer. While enamel is one of the most durable substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to dental caries. Fluoride treatment helps stop decay from occurring. Using high-fluoride toothpaste can also help. To learn more, please schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Anchorage.

Many individuals would be elated to have a whiter smile. When you stroll down the aisles of any pharmacy, you see myriad products that promote their teeth whitening abilities. If you have tried any of these, you know that they almost always provide unsatisfying results. However, professional tooth bleaching can actually produce a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Anchorage, AK that takes patients without dental insurance, we can help you find one that offers professional tooth whitening.

When you visit your Anchorage dental care provider, they can provide you with either an in-office or at-home treatment option. Should you opt for treatment in the office, you will only have to stay for roughly an hour. If you would prefer to get an at-home treatment, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill with a safe bleaching solution. You will put these on for a few hours each day for approximately two weeks. Once this treatment is done, you will have a whiter smile. If you would like to book a consultation with a Anchorage dentist that takes patients without dental insurance, we can help you find the best ones.
