I already love Dr. Morrison, even though I haven’t been coming here for very long. I’ve had a lot of problems with the previous dentist in Richmond, so it was nice to go to a dentist who listens to me. Dr. Morrison has given me some great advice on how to fix those mistakes and improve my dental care for the future. The staff here at Family Dentistry is kind and knowledgeable. They make going to the dentist enjoyable. The office has the latest technology and is always clean. They can have a crown done in 8 minutes thanks to the technology they have. Anyone in need of dental work should come here.

I wish I could give Family Dentistry 20 stars! They finally fixed my tooth problems. The first dentist I went to in Richmond told me I needed a root canal after I went to him for tooth pain, and even though I was desperate for relief, I’m glad I got a second opinion. Had I sprung for the root canal, it would have been an awful experience, so listen to your instincts when something doesn’t feel right! No one wants to feel like just another number. I went to Family Dentistry twice - once for an examination appointment and then a cleaning - in just a few weeks’ time. Their patient care is spot on - very caring and committed to finding the real reason for my tooth pain. After a few X-rays and pictures, they realized that my tooth was fractured. A root canal wouldn’t have solved my problem because it needed to be extracted and replaced with an implant. Dr. Morrison referred me to an oral surgeon, who did a great job. I’m so grateful for the incredible experts (dentists, hygienists, and receptionists) at this office! They were so intelligent and sweet, so it’s no wonder this business is thriving! Thank you everyone, and I’ll see you again soon! Support this local business!

When you are down a tooth, it is important to fill in the area as quickly as possible. While there are clear aesthetic benefits, replacing your tooth can also help maintain the health of your gums and mouth in general. The process of filling in the gap may seem unnerving, but a dental bridge is a simple yet effective way to replace either a single missing tooth or several that are next to each other. If you are looking for a dental professional in Richmond, VA that takes your dental coverage we can help you find one that can provide you with a fixed partial denture.

When you visit your Richmond dental practice, they can determine if a dental bridge is the best option for you. As noted, fixed partial dentures are typically used when someone has either a single missing tooth or a couple missing teeth next to one another. This is because this prosthetic is usually supported by existing teeth that are equipped with crowns to provide increased support. Because it is held in place by existing dentition, this option is an enduring solution.

Porcelain bridges are often made with top-of-the-line, bio-compatible porcelain that looks just like your existing teeth. This ensures that your prosthetic seamlessly fits in with the rest of your smile. Before your one-of-a-kind bridge is made, your dental professional will take meticulous images of your teeth, so it will be crafted to your exact needs. If you would like to schedule a consultation with a Richmond dental office that takes your dental coverage, we can help you find a fantastic one.

When a tooth is grossly decayed, it could become infected. The presence of an abscessed tooth means serious discomfort, and without treatment, it could lead to tooth loss. This is why your tooth may need treatment. Fortunately, there are options available to stop painful infections. Our network can help connect you to a Richmond dental office for root canal therapy. We can also help find a restorative dentist that accepts uninsured patients.

A dental abscess means that harmful bacteria have made contact with sensitive tooth structure. The pulp is the nerve center of the tooth, and it keeps the tooth healthy. Lack of treatment for an infection could allow tooth loss. A common warning sign of trouble could include pain when eating. Don’t ignore common warning signs. Talk to our team about finding a Richmond dentist who accepts uninsured patients and other forms of coverage.

A root canal procedure is a gentle endodontic treatment that can be completed in one sitting. Essentially, after the dental specialist numbs the tooth, the infected tissues are removed from within. The interior of the tooth is cleaned, and a restorative filling is added. The last step involves capping the tooth with a porcelain or metal crown. The cap is designed to protect the tooth and blend with the smile. This treatment helps relieve the pain.

Daily brushing and flossing can help lower your risk of future cavities and dental infections. Routine six-month visits help as well. If you’re looking for treatment in Richmond for dental infection, talk to Doctors Network or request an online appointment. You have options, and we know how to find practices that accept uninsured patients.

Have you lost all of your natural teeth? If so, this could mean major problems for your smile, from trouble masticating a variety of foods, to difficulties with clear speech. Your jaw loses bone mass following tooth loss, which could lead to the loss of additional teeth. In some cases, a prematurely aged appearance could develop as well. You could benefit from implant dentures not only to replace missing teeth, but also to preserve your youthful features. But what if your jaw is too weak for traditional implant dentures? Then Doctors Network can recommend a Richmond prosthodontist who specializes in All-On-4 procedure.

Traditional fixed dentures need between six and eight posts per jaw. But with All-on-4, just four implants are required. Even if your jaw has begun to break down this could still support a full set of teeth. No need to undergo ridge augmentation beforehand! These can also often be placed with the denture attached on the same visit. In fact, dentists often refer to them as Teeth-In-A-Day. Our team can help find best cosmetic dentists in Richmond who can provide you with a new smile. You can even schedule an online dental appointment.

If you have a limited budget, then consider getting our Direct Dental Plan. Our membership program allows you to pay a small monthly fee, which is set by your dentist, to save significantly on prosthetic dentistry. This helps our Richmond patients find affordable dental care, and smile with confidence once again.

Carious lesions are common oral health issues, and without attention could lead to painful infections or even the increased risk of tooth abscess. When you have dental pain that continues for more than a day, then you likely have a cavity that needs restoration. If you have tooth pain, and you need to find a dental office near you who takes patients with no dental insurance, search for dental professionals in Richmond on Doctors Network.

Tooth Decays form when the outer layer of tooth enamel is weakened. The destruction of the tooth enamel often occurs due to poor oral hygiene habits, such as not brushing and flossing regularly. A diet high in starchy foods is another common factor. Once a cavity forms, it will grow unless treated, and lack of treatment could actually mean worsening pain and a diseased tooth. Common warning signs include aching teeth. When you experience pain in a tooth, don’t delay. Our network can help connect you with a dentist in Richmond for caries risk assessment.

Treating a case of tooth decay often means placing a restoration. First, the dentist will remove the bacteria from the tooth. Next, amalgam or composite resin material is placed to the tooth. The dentist then shapes the composite as it sets. The entire process only takes one sitting. A filling helps stop discomfort and protects the smile from complications like an abscess. If you need to find out the tooth bonding cost with no dental insurance in Richmond, VA, then talk to our team. You can even sign up for a dental plan and set up a dentist appointment online. We can help you find the right dentist for your oral healthcare!

It is important for children to visit a pediatric dentist bi-yearly for exams and cleanings. By teaching children great oral health habits, you are ensuring that they have the skills to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a kids dentist in Richmond who accepts patients with no dental insurance, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering biannual dental checkups and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your child with dental sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a protective layer between their back molars and germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of cavities by up to 80%. It is a simple tool that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your pediatric dentists provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps fortify your children’s teeth. While enamel is one of the most protective substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your kid’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. This procedure helps mitigate this damage. Using toothpaste that has fluoride can also help. For more information, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our network dental professionals in Richmond.

Virginia isn’t just one of the 13 original colonies; it is home to the first English settlement in the New World, Jamestown. Not long after, Virginia also saw the end of the American Revolution with the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown. With its close proximity to the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., more Virginians today work for the government than any other industry, equaling about a quarter of the state’s population. Nevertheless, out of the state’s 8.4 million residents, over 10% do not have insurance, which can make keeping up with routine dental care difficult and expensive. That’s why Doctors Network has teamed up with dentists across the Old Dominion State to provide patients with more affordable direct dental plans. Whether you have insurance or not, a direct dental plan guarantees that you can receive the high-quality of care you deserve while paying significantly reduced prices.
