Dr. Thomas Pacheco, originally from Pasadena and raised in San Dimas, California, was surrounded by a family of dedicated business owners who always encouraged him to follow his passions. With a natural creative flair, innovative mindset, and a genuine desire to help others, Dr. Pacheco found his calling in dentistry and has never looked back.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology from the University of California, Berkeley, before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, where he graduated at the top of his class, excelling in both academics and clinical practice.

As the proud owner of Blue Door Dental, Dr. Pacheco is committed to providing exceptional care to the community he loves. His approach to dentistry centers on building meaningful connections with patients, offering gentle and expert care while helping them achieve optimal dental health. Passionate about continuous improvement, he consistently seeks out new learning opportunities to stay at the forefront of the latest dental advancements and technologies, ensuring the highest quality treatment for his patients.

Outside of the office, Dr. Pacheco enjoys reading, hiking the scenic trails of Southern California, and spending time with his young son, Oliver. He and his wife, Elisa, also love exploring the city in search of new dining spots and the perfect cup of coffee.

Dr. Liliana Khabbaz embarked on her dental career driven by a deep passion for people and family. Over the years, it is the unique and radiant smiles of her patients that have continued to fuel her love for the field.

Dr. Khabbaz graduated from the University of Damascus in 1989 before earning her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1996. She began her career as a General Practitioner and quickly demonstrated her leadership abilities, rising to the position of Managing Dentist overseeing a team of twelve doctors.

She later worked as the Managing Dentist at Smile Care Dentist in Northridge, California, where earned the Circle of Excellence award for five consecutive years. Dr. Khabbaz’s expertise and passion for dentistry then led her to co-own and manage Golden Triangle Dental in Santa Clarita, California.

In 2012, she became co-owner of Premier Care Dental Group in Pasadena, a multi-specialty practice, where her dedication and genuine care for her patients have made a lasting impact.

Today, Dr. Khabbaz divides her time between managing her practice at Premier Care Dental Group and spending quality time with her husband and two children. Her approach to dentistry has always been to treat each patient like family, with their health and smiles as her top priority.

Dr. Jelani Winslow has always had a passion for creating and building. Upon discovering dentistry, he found a unique opportunity to combine his scientific knowledge with his artistic talents. His interest in the field blossomed during his time volunteering at dental offices while attending the University of California, Berkeley, which ultimately guided him to Temple University in Philadelphia for dental school. After earning his dental degree, Dr. Winslow returned to the West Coast to complete a General Practice Residency at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital in Downey, CA. He then spent over a decade working at the East Valley Community Health Center in West Covina, CA, where he provided essential care to underserved communities. Despite the fulfillment he found in this role, he harbored a long-time aspiration to open his own practice. In August 2019, Dr. Winslow realized that dream when he acquired Whittier Palm Dental in Montebello. When he’s not treating patients in Montebello, Whittier, or Pico Rivera, Dr. Winslow enjoys traveling, running 5K and 10K races, experimenting with electronic projects and 3D printing, and giving back to the community through volunteer work and sharing his dental expertise.

Dr. Mimi Tran is a dedicated and skilled dentist who earned her degree from Touro College of Dental Medicine in New York. She further refined her clinical expertise by completing an extensive General Practice Residency at OHSU Hospital in Oregon. With a commitment to providing exceptional dental care, Dr. Tran focuses on delivering personalized treatments to her patients, ensuring both their comfort and well-being. Passionate about staying current with the latest developments in dentistry, she strives to offer the best possible care in every aspect of her practice.

Dr. Johanna Paco earned her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She went on to graduate from the University of Southern California Dental School in 1991, where she was recognized for her excellence in oral pathology. Dr. Paco has been an integral part of the Cottage Dental team since 1997. Dr. Paco is passionate about providing high-quality dental care in a warm and compassionate manner. She is highly skilled in various advanced dental treatments, including sedation for anxious patients, creating same-day crowns, performing laser dentistry, and offering Invisalign services. Outside of her dental practice, Dr. Paco works alongside her husband to educate others about the importance of nutrition and maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle. She is also a certified personal trainer and enjoys spending time with her family, including her nine grandchildren. In her spare time, Dr. Paco enjoys reading personal development books, dancing, exercising, and serving in the Children’s Ministry at her church.

Growing up in the Inland Empire, Dr. Velazquez was introduced to the world of dentistry at an early age through his father, a dentist who made a lasting impact on his patients. Inspired by the way his father improved the lives of others, Dr. Velazquez developed a deep passion for dentistry and its ability to change lives.

Dr. Velazquez went on to pursue his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at LaSalle University, graduating in 2016. After obtaining his dental license in 2017, he gained valuable experience working in a variety of corporate and private practice settings across Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. In 2020, he took a major step in his career by purchasing his first dental practice in Rancho Cucamonga, his hometown. As both a dentist and a practice owner, Dr. Velazquez is committed to delivering high-quality care while embracing the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques.

Dr. Velazquez and his wife, Jocelyn, recently welcomed their first child, a son named David Emmanuel, and they are excited to begin this new chapter as a family. Outside of the office, Dr. Velazquez enjoys discovering new restaurants and exploring family-friendly activities with his wife and son. Dr. Michel H. Elyson earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from California State University, Northridge, before going on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from UCLA School of Dentistry. He further advanced his expertise through post-doctoral training in both Surgical and Prosthetic Dentistry at the Misch International Implant Institute. Dr. Elyson also completed an advanced program at the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, Washington. With over 25 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Elyson has been practicing in Los Angeles since 1995. He founded Smiles LA, where his practice philosophy is centered on a comprehensive, total health approach to dental care. Dr. Elyson strives to provide care grounded in the latest research, all while delivering the highest standard of patient service. Dr. Elyson has served as a clinical instructor at UCLA School of Dentistry, where he has shared his expertise with future dental professionals. He is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) and an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), and the Los Angeles Dental Society.

Dr. Barouir Deirmenjian is a dedicated general dentist with a strong passion for providing high-quality, compassionate care to every patient. As the founder and CEO of B. Dr. Jay M. Azling is a proud Southern California native, originally from Orange County. After graduating from Canyon High School in 1980, he attended the University of California, Davis, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with honors, along with a Minor in Psychology. In 1988, Dr. Azling graduated from the esteemed UCLA School of Dentistry with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS)—a milestone he fondly marks, despite the rivalry with Trojan fans!

Dr. Azling launched his dental career in Cerritos in 1988, initially working as an Associate Dentist under the mentorship of Dr. Chris Martin. The pair became partners in 1991 and enjoyed a successful collaboration for 17 years until Dr. Martin’s retirement in 2005. Since then, Dr. Azling has continued serving the Cerritos community with a focus on family dentistry, as well as cosmetic and rehabilitative care. He has further honed his skills through advanced training at the renowned Las Vegas and Seattle Institutes for Advanced Dental Education.

Dr. Chris Chang has lived across the United States, from Alaska to Florida, experiencing both large and small communities. His greatest joy comes from being married to his wonderful wife, Yustine, and raising their young son, Landon. The decision to establish Bloomvale Dental stemmed from his deep passion for people.
