Lisa C.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Schambeau at Schambeau Dental Care for a while now. They have a fully staffed, very professional office. The hygienists and doctors are all highly skilled. In my opinion, they’re the best dental practice in Bessemer, AL! I’m 58 years old and have lived in a lot of places, which means I’ve had a lot of dentists. Schambeau Dental Care cured my gum disease, fixed all my teeth, and replaced the mercury fillings that a previous dentist had done. Since seeing Dr. Schambeau nine years ago, I’ve received so many compliments on my smile. Everyone at the office is always positive and empathetic, and they truly care about you. Sometimes, I even ask for more mouthwash, hoping that whatever they drink to make them like this rubs off on me. Seriously, though, this is the best dental practice around. If you go anywhere else, take comfort in knowing that it might be the second best dental office, but why risk it?

dental-implants-or-bridge

As kids, we lose our deciduous teeth as our smile develops. However, in adulthood, losing teeth means poor oral health. Periodontitis is the number one cause. Since missing teeth at adulthood isn’t natural, this means problems. You could have difficulties consuming solid foods. Problems talking clearly may develop. Finally, you could risk impacting your smile alignment, or even your youthful features. You need a permanent in-network dentist in Wahouma, AL who can replace missing teeth. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help locate one.

First, we will help connect you to a skilled dentist near you. Once we do, your new dentist can examine your smile to assess your tooth loss. For minor cases, a dental bridge could be the best option, providing lifelike results. For multiple gaps, partial dentures could offer a solution and address complicated tooth loss. Finally, a complete denture could be custom-made. While most complete dentures and partial dentures are removable, they could be supported with tooth implants. Dental implants act as natural teeth, and stimulate bone preservation in your alveolar bone and facial structure following losing a tooth.

If you live in the Wahouma area and have lost your natural teeth, let us help. We can help you get started on receiving bridges or dentures. Model-worthy teeth are within reach, even if you’ve suffered complete tooth loss, and even if many years have elapsed since that happened!

P. S. Please applaud our dental surgeons in Nashville, TN with us this week.

sleep-apnea-treatment

When you experience chronic snoring, you may not think a dentist could help. In fact, dentists can often provide a comfortable and noninvasive option to stop nighttime airway obstruction. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a condition in which when you sleep, the soft palate and the tissues around the throat collapse and cause you to stop breathing. Patients with OSA actually stop breathing for a few moments until the brain wakes them. Even if you assume you slept well, you could experience daytime drowsiness! But when is it necessary to talk to Doctors Network and find Wahouma, AL dentists who offer OSA treatment?

Sings of OSA include chronic snoring. Daytime headaches, drowsiness, and even trouble with interpersonal relationships could be factors too. With no treatment, OSA could even strain your immune system and increase the risk of high blood pressure. When you experience similar signs and symptoms, consider finding out your treatment options. Sometimes, oral appliance therapy can be helpful as a CPAP alternative, so you can finally sleep well.

This week we are celebrating our dental care providers near New York, NY.

tooth-bonding

If you have a broken tooth or one that is misshapen, then you might need a cosmetic consultation. With contouring and tooth-color bonding in Wahouma, AL, these aesthetic imperfections can be treated in one visit. At Doctors Network, we are here to help connect you with a dental expert in Wahouma, AL who accepts new patients and provides the comprehensive treatments you need. You may not believe just how much these two treatments can do in only one appointment.

Tooth filling repairs esthetic concerns with composite resin materials. The material, a blend of glass and acrylic particles, is shaded and placed onto the prepared area. Wahouma dentists also use the same material to address cracked or chipped teeth. With dental contouring, the dentist actually sands the outer tooth surfaces to correct your damaged or malformed tooth.

Today we are honoring our Brooklyn cosmetic dentists. Between these two services, these dentists will be able to reshape malformed teeth, tackle dental emergencies, mask teeth stains, and close spaces between teeth.

Periodontitis impacts millions of adults. In fact, studies from the CDC reveal fifty percent of adults over 30 have gum disease. Without treatment, gum disease could impact smile stability. Also known as periodontal disease, this is actually one of the most common causes of missing teeth. If there is a presence of gingivitis or gum disease, then a treatment can be planned. There is no substitute for an attractive smile, but as we get older, many of us struggle with missing teeth. Missing teeth could lead to trouble with eating and speaking, and can even lead to a prematurely aged appearance. To treat missing teeth, people often turn to implants and fixed dentures. Unlike traditional options, such as dentures or fixed partial dentures, these are connected to posts placed into your jaw. Crowns or even prosthetics like bridges are locked into these implant posts. These then act as new roots, so your new teeth can last not ten years, but far much longer with proper care and attention.

Are you ready to replace missing teeth with dental implants? If you want to know how much a dental implant costs in Wahouma, you are not alone, but first, you need to find a Wahouma dentist who can offer implant dentistry. Doctors Network’s search tool can help you with this, connecting you to a dental professional who not only can address your concerns about missing teeth, but also takes patients without dental insurance. Same-day appointments are usually available. You can even register for a Doctors Network dental plan to reduce the cost of your treatment.

The dentist will take a close look at your smile. Underlying issues such as periodontitis may need to be addressed before moving forward. But once completed, your dental implants will offer replacement teeth that look and function like natural ones!

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
