dental-implants-or-bridge

As children, we lose our primary teeth as our smile develops. However, in adulthood, losing teeth is often due to injury. Periodontal disease could be responsible as well. Since missing teeth at adulthood isn’t natural, this means problems. You could have problems eating. Problems speaking could occur. Finally, you could risk negative changes to your smile alignment, or even your facial structure. You need a skilled private dentist in Cedar Rapids, IA who can provide prosthetic dentistry. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help locate one.

First, we will connect you to a skilled dentist near you. Once we do, your new dentist can examine your smile to diagnose the conditions for your missing teeth. For mild cases, a dental bridge could be the best option, addressing one to three lost teeth in a row. For multiple gaps, partial dentures could offer a solution and restore bite function. Finally, a complete set of dentures could be custom-made. While most complete dentures and partial dentures are removable, they could be supported with tooth implants. Dental implants essentially look and function like natural teeth, and preserve bone density in your jawbones and facial structure following missing a tooth.

If you live in the Cedar Rapids‘s neighborhoods and need a solution for tooth loss, let us know. We can get you started on receiving the tooth replacement you need. The smile of your dreams is possible, even if you’ve lost all of your teeth, and even if many years have elapsed since that happened!

P. S. Please applaud our dentists in Nashville, TN with us this week.

sleep-apnea-treatment

When you suffer from a sleep disorder, you may not think a dentist could help. But in fact, dentists can provide a comfortable and noninvasive option to stop nighttime airway obstruction. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a condition in which as you sleep, the soft palate and the tissues around the throat collapse and cut off airflow. People actually stop breathing briefly until the brain notices a drop in oxygen. Even if you assume you slept well, you could experience daytime drowsiness! But when is it time to talk to Doctors Network to find Cedar Rapids, IA dentists who offer OSA treatment?

Warning signs could include snoring on a nightly basis. Daytime headaches, drowsiness, and even irritability could be factors too. With no treatment, sleep apnea could even affect your immune system and increase the risk of heart disease. When you experience similar signs and symptoms, consider seeing a dental professional. Often, oral appliance therapy can be used to keep airways open, so you can finally sleep comfortably.

This week we are honoring our dental practices in New York, NY.

tooth-bonding

If you have a chipped tooth or a tooth that is yellow stained, then you need a cosmetic treatment. With tooth reshaping and dental bonding in Cedar Rapids, IA, these aesthetic imperfections can be treated in one visit. At Doctors Network, we are here to help connect you with a cosmetic dentist in Cedar Rapids, IA who accepts new patients and offers cosmetic dentistry. You may be surprised to discover just how much these two treatments can correct in one visit.

Composite filling repairs aesthetic concerns with composite resin materials. The material, a blend of glass-like and acrylic particles, is shaded and placed in the tooth preparation. Cedar Rapids cosmetic dentists also use the same material to fill tooth cavities. With contouring, the dentist simply buffs and polishes the outer tooth structure to correct your damaged or malformed tooth.

Today we are celebrating our Brooklyn dental offices. Between these two dental services, these dentists can reshape malformed teeth, fixed broken or fractured teeth, mask unattractive teeth stains, and even close embarrassing spaces between the teeth.

Periodontal disease is very widespread. In fact, studies from the Centers for Disease Control reveal half of adults over the age of thirty suffer from the disease. Without treatment, gum disease could reach an advanced stage. Also known as periodontal disease, this is actually the most common cause of adult tooth loss. All that to say, when you develop the symptoms of the disease, you need to see a professional right away. Sore, red gums that bleed easily, along with receding tissues, are common indicators that you need to see a Cedar Rapids dental clinic.

Doctor Network’s dentist search tool can help connect you with reconstructive dentists in Cedar Rapids IA that accept new patients and can offer a treatment plan after examining your smile. If there is any sign of gingivitis or gum disease, then a treatment plan can be created. For the early stages, a scaling and root planing followed by traditional cleanings every 3 to 4 months could prevent symptoms. For the more advanced stage, there are options like pocket reduction surgery, laser dentistry, and more to protect your smile!

In childhood, many of us grind our teeth for short periods of time. The issue tends to last only a few months. But for some, bruxism could mean chronic teeth grinding into and throughout adulthood, and the pressure from clenching your teeth could damage your smile. Cracks, chips, and worn-down structures could cause discomfort. You are also more likely to develop tooth decay or even infected teeth, which is why if you grind your teeth, you should consider using Doctors Network’s search tool to book an appointment with a dentist in Cedar Rapids.

Your partner or spouse may let you know you grind your teeth in your sleep. Otherwise, symptoms could include toothaches and tooth sensitivity. Treatment options vary. Some dentists bring relief by addressing the causes of teeth grinding. They could correct misalignment with braces, or even replace missing teeth with dental implants. Many offer treatment with custom and comfortable oral splints. So don’t ignore the possible warning signs, talk to us about finding the right dentist in your area who accepts new patients.

Nothing feels better than showing off a perfect smile, but as we age, many of us struggle with tooth loss. Missing teeth could lead to difficulty with eating and speaking, and can even lead to an older appearance. To treat missing teeth, people often turn to implants and fixed dentures. Unlike traditional options, such as dentures or fixed partial dentures, these are connected to posts inserted into your jaw. Crowns or even prosthetics like dentures are locked into these implant posts. These then act as new roots, so your new teeth can last not ten years, but several decades with proper care and attention.

Are you ready to tackle your tooth loss with dental implants? If you want to know how much a dental implant costs in Cedar Rapids, you are not alone, but firstly, you should find a Cedar Rapids dentist who can offer tooth replacement. Doctors Network can help you with this, connecting you to a dental professional who not only can address your tooth loss, but also accepts walk-in patients. You can even register for a Doctors Network dental plan to reduce the cost of your treatment.

The dentist will carefully examine your smile. Underlying oral health concerns may need to be treated before moving forward. But once completed, your dental implants will offer replacement teeth that look and function like natural teeth!

Resting comfortably between the Missouri and Mississippi rivers, Iowa is home to over 3.1 million people, including the nation’s 31st president, Herbert Hoover. The state is also full of the unexpected. For instance, most visitors are surprised to learn that the state is not completely flat, or that its rolling cornfields are nestled next to the country’s highest concentration of wind turbines. Now, residents across the Hawkeye State are increasingly surprised to learn that they don’t have to pay incredibly high prices for the high-quality dental care they deserve. As part of Doctors Network, dentists across Iowa are now able to offer their patients direct dental plans as an alternative or a supplement to dental health insurance.

As one of America’s friendliest states, Iowa is one of the best places to raise a family. In fact, more than 23% of the population is under the age 18, and the average household is home to a family of at least three. Therefore, keeping the costs of high-quality dental care manageable are especially important to maintaining a high quality of life. Fortunately, less than six percent of the population lacks insurance, although even dental insurance is not always enough to cover the totality of a family’s dental health care costs. By signing up with Doctors Network, Iowa dentists can offer direct dental plans that grant patients access to substantial savings in all areas of their dental care. Patients without insurance rely on direct dental plans to keep treatment prices reasonable, while patients with insurance can further control the costs of their care and eliminate extravagant out-of-pocket expenses.
