I chipped my tooth on vacation, but when I returned home, my usual dentist was out of the office. So I went to see someone else in Madison Heights, MI, who referred me to Dr. Kashat-Mansour. Thanks to her great work, she’s earned my loyalty! I was afraid at first because she said I needed both my bottom back molars removed as well as one top molar. Because I knew I needed to be anesthetized, I was utterly terrified and sobbing. But Dr. Kashat-Mansour and her staff really calmed my nerves and made me feel better. They sat me down, told me what to expect and then I was out. I woke up about a half hour later. Last year, I had one tooth removed, and it was so painful and caused so much swelling. It’s my second day post-op from Dr. Kashat-Mansour, and I’m impressed with how great I feel. I have just a little swelling and a little soreness in my jaw and extraction sites. I’m amazed at Dr. Kashat-Mansour’s work. She knows her stuff and knows how to make the procedure as fast and painless as possible, including during post-op recovery! Thank you so much! Dr. Thomas J. Gilbert is dedicated to providing comfortable, high-quality treatments. Having gone through numerous dental treatments himself, he knows what it’s like to have work done on your teeth as well as what an ideal dentist visit looks like. Dr. Gilbert had a strong sense of community instilled in him as a child. Because of that, he has always felt a connection to the place he grew up, Royal Oak. As a dentist at Royal Oak Dental, Dr. Gilbert feels lucky to be able to provide dental care to the community that raised him and he views each of his patients as a member of his own family. After earning his bachelor’s degrees in psychology and biology from Albion College, Dr. Gilbert went on to the University of Detroit Dental School where he earned his Doctorate of Dentistry in 1985. Since becoming a practicing dentist, Dr. Gilbert has continued to attend dental courses and read dental journals and research papers that keep him up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies in the dental field.

Dr. Kyle Katynski values modern dentistry and enjoys mastering the latest dental techniques by attending continued education courses in his free time. He has completed the Aesthetic Excellence course from Rhys and the Spoor and Implant courses taught by Todd Engel. These courses have provided him with advanced training in a range of dental procedures including 3D printing and intra-oral scanning. He also serves as a member and chair of the Young Dentists on the Macomb Dental Society Board.

Dr. Katynski has been a practicing dentist for over a decade. He earned dental degrees from the University of Michigan’s dental hygiene program in 2012 and dental program in 2016. Since then he has enjoyed helping his patients achieve better oral health and confidence in their smiles through general dentistry, cosmetic makeovers, and smile transformations. Patients of Dr. Latynski can receive dental implant placement and restoration, support dentures, and full arch restoration.

Dr. Shoha combines the latest dental techniques and technologies with grounded holistic methods to provide her patients with the highest quality of care and compassion she can.
