Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Kao worked as a dental assistant and front office coordinator, which sparked her interest in pursuing a career in dentistry. She found her passion for the profession by observing the ways it blends art, science, and health, and has since dedicated herself to improving both oral and overall health through patient care and creating lasting smiles.

At UCLA, Dr. Kao was awarded a full scholarship and was part of the Academic Advancement Program. During her time at Tufts, she excelled in clinical training and volunteered extensively, including working as an extern at the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, where she treated underserved populations.
