I stumbled upon Family & Cosmetic Dental when I moved to Phoenix, AZ a few years ago. I have all wonderful things to report about Dr. Pulkrabek and his dental team. Everyone is very sociable and skillful, and the wait time for my appointment was only a few minutes. In addition to excellent patient care, they also don’t try to upsell you on unnecessary services, and the office is just gorgeous. Between all that and Dr. Pulkrabek’s upbeat, positive energy, going to the dentist is actually really enjoyable!

I have so many great things to say about Family & Cosmetic Dental in Phoenix, AZ. They’re always very truthful, attentive, and knowledgeable. As soon as you walk in, the receptionist greets you with a smile, puts you at ease, and makes the process of filling out paperwork run so smoothly. Dr. Pulkrabek is a lifesaver! I’d been looking for an affordable dentist I could trust, but I couldn’t find anyone. Visiting the dentist was never a great experience until someone told me to go to Family & Cosmetic Dental. I did do a bit of “dentist hopping” before finding the right one. Dr. Pulkrabek never tried to push unnecessary procedures, and he was truthful and direct. Plus, he’s really funny! He even suggested I get braces. I definitely needed them, but I couldn’t find a dentist that would provide stress-free ortho work. I’ve been seeing Dr. Pulkrabek for a few years. Though the commute is a bit much since we are on opposite sides of Phoenix, it’s worth it because I know I can trust him. I’ve seen a different hygienist with every appointment I’ve gone too, but they are all great at their jobs and fun to be around. My husband even loves seeing Dr. Pulkrabek, which shows how great he is. I mean, who says they like going to the dentist? But we do! Make an appointment - your teeth with thank you!

Highly recommended! Due to my traveling lifestyle, I hadn’t seen a dentist in 4 years and had a lot of cavities. Dr. Pulkrabek and his staff are highly skilled, relatable, and caring. My gums were always bleeding whenever I brushed my teeth, but after two deep cleaning sessions, the bleeding stopped and my teeth were as healthy as ever. Hands down, Dr. Pulkrabek is the best dentist near me. He is patient and thoroughly explains the procedures he needs to do and never tries to make me do anything I don’t really need. I have a ton of dental issues, but Dr. Pulkrabek walked me through the perfect treatment plan to fix them all. He’s so considerate and highly skilled but not strict. The staff here always makes me laugh, and they’re very kind and detail oriented. They always follow up with me to ask how I’m doing after my treatment, and they even answer my calls after hours when I have questions. Parking can be hard to find sometimes, but they never try to rush through my appointments.

I just had my first consult and surgery at Family & Cosmetic Dental in Phoenix, AZ. I am so amazed with Dr. Pulkrabek’s patience in explaining the procedure to me. He was able to look at my xrays from the exam and diagnose me quickly. Plus, the cost of his service is unmatched by any other dentist I’ve been to. But what really impressed me was that he only charged me half of what other dentists were going to charge for the same procedure, which saved me thousands of dollars! The other guy was going to charge me nearly $1k for just the anesthesia. The surgery went really smoothly and as planned! It didn’t hurt that much and the price he quoted me was on point. I healed quickly, too. The only thing I need to do is get a crown on the implant because his job was just to put the screw in. Now, I need to go to my usual dentist for the crown. They also cleaned my teeth at this office, and they did a great job. Two thumbs up from me!

I found Family & Cosmetic Dental on Doctors Network, and after reading all the great reviews, I scheduled an appointment at their office in Phoenix, AZ. There was a bit of a miscommunication, but one of his appointments cancelled last-minute, so he personally cleaned my teeth! It was the best cleaning I’d ever had. He said his hygienists are even better at it than he is, so I can’t imagine how awesome they are! While I was there, he set me up with a night guard and gave me a few tips on how to take care of my teeth and how to prevent future issues. He also filed my teeth in a few spots to make my bite feel better (free of charge, too!). This isn’t your average dental office. I love them and would recommend them to anyone!

Aside from regular cleanings, I asked Dr. Pulkrabek to replace all my old metal fillings a few years ago, and he did a great job. He doesn’t overcharge, and my insurance covers all my cleanings except for the $17 fluoride treatment. From the receptions to the dentist to Dr. Pulkrabek, everyone at this office is inviting and timely.

Of course, I had to fill out new patient paperwork, but it was a pretty seamless process. They had some of it already filled in based on what I told them over the phone when I scheduled the appointment. The staff is very warm and informative. Everyone seemed highly skilled and efficient. The exam was comprehensive, and the hygienist did an amazing job cleaning my teeth, especially since I was a few months overdue. Dr. Pulkrabek had a proactive approach in regards to my ancient fillings and receding gums. I love that he took the time to explain his logic, review x-rays and pictures with me, and made sure that I understood how much it would cost before going through with any treatment or procedure. I don’t usually like going to the dentist, but this office made the experience pretty fantastic and pain free. I love how much they care about their patients and their desire to get ahead of dental problems!

This dentist office is beautiful, and the staff is wonderful. I’ve never had a problem with scheduling an appointment and they even send out text reminders so that you don’t forget your appointment. Their practice may be small, but they do quality dental work and treat like a human being rather than just another person in the chair. I had to have a filling replaced and this Phoenix dentist did a great job and explained everything he was doing thoroughly. I took my 15 month old daughter in the other day and they were very patient and kind to her.

My elderly mother was in a lot of pain so I was looking for a dentist in Phoenix, AZ who could take care of her. A lot of places are only concerned with how much money they can make on you and didn’t have appointments until the end of the month. After doing research on Doctors Network I was very lucky to find this place. They listened to the concerns I had about my mother and were able to see us right away. I work in health care, but this was one of the only doctors I’ve ever come across who genuinely seemed to care about his patients. Everyone here, from the front desk people to the dental assistant were all very kind. Relieving my mother’s pain was their top priority. I have made this place my regular family dental office, and now my kids go here too. Thank you, Dr. Pulkrabek and everyone else at this dentist office in Maryvale. They even make sure you get to car OK, that’s how great and total their patient care is. It is truly amazing.
