I am totally satisfied with the way my visit went to Shay Dental. When I went, I was nervous because I hadn’t been to a dentist in almost 15 years. They still made me feel right at home. When I talked to Dr. Shay, I knew I found the right place. He was very knowledgeable and kind and he answered all of my questions. His examination was thorough, and he took the time to give me in-depth explanations. We discussed what my priorities were, and he pointed out what was most important learned how my insurance worked and how much I’d have to pay per visit. We also talked about financing, which was helpful because of how much work I needed. The office helped me through the process and put me at ease with how much it costs and how long it will take. Although I’m just starting, I am happy I chose Shay Dental because of their professional and caring service. Best in New York!

Everything about my Shay Dental experience is positive! Immediately after entering the business, you are greeted, offered refreshments, and even offered a tour of the facility. No other dentist has offered this to me, and as a business owner, I really appreciate how well-managed and well-staffed the office in New York is. I didn’t just feel like a patient. I felt like family! They went above and beyond making me feel welcome, even giving me a gift bag when I left. If there was a rating higher than 5 stars, Dr. Shay would get it!

Every part of the Shay Dental experience is positive. The friendly nature of the staff and doctor gives their patients a sense of ease and overall belonging. Dr. Shay works to foster a good relationship with his patients while still quickly attending to their needs. I have had multiple procedures done there, and every time he is very direct. They do not try to upsell you like many other businesses in New York. They do what needs to be done efficiently and honestly, with a real concern for their patients. My whole immediate family gets their work done there. The staff is very accommodating and efficient, especially when handling emergency situations. They also offer more specialist services in the office on certain days of the week, so you never have to worry about outsourcing other offices or services. The office workers are also very helpful financially. When insurance doesn’t cover a procedure, the staff doesn’t hesitate to explain the best course of action in paying off bills, and they are very understanding and realistic when it comes to what’s urgent and what’s not. They have been a huge help in paying for our dental procedures. I wouldn’t go to any other dentist and I tell all my friends and family to use Shay Dental. The studio is well-kept and up-to-date, the workers are friendly and welcoming, and the work itself is perfect.

I am probably the worst patient. But when I found Dr. Shay and Shay Dental right here in New York, I feel so much more comfortable on my trips to the dentist. Dr. Shay and staff work to make sure you feel relaxed and calm during your visit. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a dentist that will make your smile perfect! Well worth the drive. I don’t think there are enough good things I could say about Dr. Shay and his staff at Shay Dental! When I cracked a tooth, they were there and got me in very fast. Dr. Shay, of course, took care of it perfectly, and he is my only dentist now. They all do a great job of explaining all the details to you and very straightforward with costs. They are all so amazing and the best in New York!

Dr. Shay of Shay Dental was expertly able to match the color and structure of my new tooth, while allowing plenty of floss clearance. It feels and fits great. There was almost no discomfort through the procedure, and though it felt a bit tight at first, it’s settled in and I don’t even notice it now. I’m a former hygienist at Shay Dental, and I often found it strange that people would fly in to New York just to be treated by us. Now that I’ve moved away, I see that Dr. Shay’s talent and care are unmatched. I travel back myself for treatment, and I’m grateful that they always keep me smiling.

Shay Dental is so good that I am a bit uncertain if I wanted to share. LOL, I know it’s good to be nice and tell people but it means more wait time for me when I go there. I love the state-of-the-art equipment that they have right on site. Equipment that would need to be outsourced by most other dentists is found here. I love how great Dr. Shay is. He showed me that it wasn’t about making money, but actually taking care of the patients and putting their needs first. They even have great dental assistants and thankfully they work with my insurance so everything was amazing. I’m truly happy to have found this place so close to where I live in New York.

It was hard to find a good time to meet my previous dentist after we moved to New York. I had a problem with a crown and so I decided to look around for another dentist. Usually, I’m very scared to go to the dentist but thankfully this experience left me feeling confident and at ease. Shay Dental responded to me promptly when most offices weren’t even open. There were calm and reassuring and my hygienist was very compassionate. Dr. Shay is truly amazing! I have had zero issues since I have done the procedure and I just returned to have my teeth cleaned as well. I’m really glad I found them.

Dentists make me super nervous and are a big source of anxiety for me. Today was my first visit here, and Dr. Shay was my dentist. He was fantastic. He really helped me feel less nervous by telling me what he was doing and explaining anything I was wondering about. This was the first dental office I’ve ever felt cared about at, and that really helped me relax. Both Dr. Shay and his dental assistant are obviously very invested in their patients’ comfort and happiness, and you can clearly see that they really do love their jobs and love helping their patients and all of New York for that matter in any way they can. I highly recommend Dr. Shay and his staff! Dr. Shay is super friendly, knows what he’s doing, and tells you everything you need to know and I left with my teeth feeling clean and awesome. He was able to tell me things that might be issues for me later, but I never felt like I had to do anything about them right that second. Instead of pressuring me into decisions, he made sure I knew the choices I must consider moving forward. I got in and out fast (a rare find in New York) and making an appointment here at Shay Dental is simple. If you want a dentist that you can count on long-term, I’d say Dr. Shay is the guy for you.

Shay Dental is the only place I’ve been able to take my teenage daughter who is terrified of the dentist. Dr. Shay was so kind to him and calmed his nerves as soon as he stepped foot in the office. He patiently explained every step of the process and checked on how he was doing. Dr. Shay said we could even come back for a second cleaning visit if need be. The moment I saw my daughter smiling as she walked out of the dentist's office, I knew we had found the one. The next day, Dr. Shay followed up with a sweet note telling my daughter how well he did. It was so thoughtful! Now, the rest of my family will be going to visit Dr. Shay! Three cheers for the absolute best dentist in New York!

Each and every time I come here to Shay Dental I am blown away. They are by far my favorite dental office in New York. Dr. Shay and all of his support staff are extremely diligent with the exam and talk you through the entire process. It’s nice to know what’s going on when you’re sitting in their chair. I always feel well-at-ease with such a wonderful team. From the moment you step foot in the office until the moment you leave you feeling right at home. I cannot say enough how much I recommend their office. If you’re in the market for a new dentist in New York, they’ve got you covered.

The staff is so helpful at Shay Dental and they make it super easy to make an appointment. I called but then realized the office was closed. The receptionist saw my number on the caller ID and called me back, without me even having to leave a message. How great!! The office is spotless and inviting. I had no trouble parking. It’s right across from the library. Shortly after I walked in, they took me back. I had already filled out my patient information since they had the form online. So helpful! It seems like they never have patients wait long which is good. In the past, I’ve generally had dental hygienists do the cleaning, but not here! Dr. Shay took care of it. He did everything from the cleaning to the x-rays and more! I’ve been debating oral surgery on the suggestion of another doctor, but Dr. Shay gave me his honest and straightforward opinion on it. I appreciate that! He’s so approachable. For anyone that’s in the market in New York, I’d suggest their office!

Dr. Shay and his assistants were so thorough throughout my procedure. He has great communication skills and informs you before starting any procedure; he even gives you the good and the bad of the procedures so that you can make decisions for yourself. I will definitely schedule another appointment with him! Shay Dental is the best that New York has to offer!

It has not been easy to find a good dentist in New York. I am so happy I took the recommendation to come to Dr. Shay’s office. He and his staff are awesome! Dr. Shay has been my dentist for the last 3 years. My husband and brother are patients now too. We really like how professional and friendly the staff is, it is a nice change of pace for New York. Shay Dental is clean and really roomy. And, I love how bright and inviting the waiting room is! The office staff does a really nice job explaining billing and answering any questions we have. I never feel like I am being pushed for services that I can’t afford. I really appreciated that they take pictures of the work that they do and then show it on the screen and explain it in a way that you can understand. They get busy though, so make sure you book your appointments in advance. I highly recommend Dr. Shay… he is great and you will be pleased with his work.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I totally would. I went to Shay Dental because I had a failed dental implant. I had tried 2 other clinics, but I just didn’t feel confident in the skills of the staff. A friend of mine recommended Shay Dental. Seriously, I could have skipped reading all of the reviews because Dr. Shay was just amazing. I was so happy that he repaired my implant correctly the first time. His skills are top-notch. If I could give 6 stars, I totally would. They saved me time and money, not to mention pain. The office space is so clean, and they are great with their practice of infection control. Going forward, my entire family will go to Shay Dental for our dental care as long as we live here in New York!

I had such a great time at my first appointment with Shay Dental. My check-up and cleaning were with Dr. Shay. I appreciated the time he took to explain the situation with my teeth and gums; he was helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Shay also took time to explain and give advice on how to approach future dental procedures. The appointment really went smoothly. Finding out I had cavities was really the only bad part of the appointment. But these should be filled up with future appointments. The staff is really helpful and welcoming, and the office here in New York is clean and very nice.

I’ve been a patient of Shay Dental for several years, beginning in 2009. I first met Dr. Shay during an emergency visit for a root canal. I saw him because my other dentist said I needed to wait a week for an appointment. I could tell they cared about me and my condition, and they saw me within 15 minutes. They made a great first impression on me with their attentiveness and caring. Even though I’ve moved away from New York since then, I always travel to this dentist office. I adore the staff there. Even my 12 year old daughter loves this office. This office is great at cleaning kid’s teeth and other parents notice.

This place provides great patient care, something that can be hard to find at a dentist office in New York, NY. I have been a patient here for 4 years now, and I just love Dr. Shay and his team. I tell all my friends about this place, and now my wife and a bunch of my friends come here too. The staff is always friendly and gentle. Once again the great customer service and amenities they provide to make you feel comfortable to keep their patients coming back. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars.

I had a dental emergency in Manhattan, and Dr. Shay was able to fit me in on the same day. I am now a permanent patient here at Shay Dental. He was kind, professional, and friendly. He made sure I was never in any pain, and that I got what I needed. He’s one of the few dentists who aren’t in it for the money but are in it to make sure patients get the best care possible. He’s the best! His office staff is also kind and friendly. Everyone who works here is awesome. A friend recommended this place to me, and I’m so happy she did. I now actually enjoy the dentist, when in the past I use to hate it and actually hadn’t been in a while.

Dr. Shay has a great dental office on the Eastside, New York. He’s pretty awesome himself. I can’t believe I’ve actually found a dentist I enjoy going to.
