If I could give this place 20 stars I would. I chipped my tooth by biting down on something hard. They were able to fit me in that day, despite not having any appointments open. I’m very thankful to the receptionist who I cried over the phone to. Dr. Morrison saw me during his lunch break, which is incredible, no other dentist in Richmond, VA I know has that sort of dental service! Dr. Morrison was very nice, caring, and easy to talk to. My tooth looks even better than it did before I chipped it now that Dr. Morrison fixed it. This place left such a great impression on me that I am feeling and looking better than ever. I plan on going back every to this dentistry every year!

Per the usual, Family Dentistry (Richmond, VA) has surpassed any expectations I had regarding patient care and dental procedure! The dental hygienist and dental assistant were so pleasant and informative, and they helped ease my anxiety. Dr. Morrison was direct but kind, and he really took his time. It’s hard to find a dentist office that is as helpful and nice as this one - from check in to check out! Incredible practice!

Perhaps, the most common reason to seek dental care is to address a toothache. While temporary aches could occur for many different reasons, including sinus congestion, one that persists for more than a day could mean trouble. For example, a persistent toothache could be caused by dental caries, the early stages of a dental abscess, or as a result of weakened enamel due to teeth grinding. When you have an aching tooth that does not subside, you most likely need a filling placed. Doctors Network can help you find a dentist in the Richmond, VA area who takes patients without dental insurance!

When the dentist examines your teeth, digital x-rays are used to assess the severity of the cavity. then, the appropriate treatment option is chosen. For children and adult patients alike, a tooth-filling made from a metal-free material could bring relief. A crown could also be used to treat advanced decay. When possible, the dentist will take steps to utilize more lifelike options, so they ensure an attractive smile. If you have a toothache, use our search module to find Richmond emergency dentists and book an appointment online.

Grownups are not the only ones who benefit from regular dental care. Adolescents need regular dental exams as well, and they need to be monitored by a dentist for issues like tooth decay. This could include dental misalignment, or for teens, the eruption of the third molars. If you need to request an online appointment a pediatric dentist in Richmond, VA with experience helping little smiles, then Doctors Network is ready to help you.

Checkups and cleanings should begin when all baby teeth come in, and should not be skipped. These visits enable your Richmond pediatric dentist to keep track of your child’s dental development, and if areas of concern develop, such as dental cavities, or gingivitis, then treatment might be required. In addition, kids can often receive preventive fluoride treatments to strengthen the outer enamel of their teeth and prevent tooth cavities. Sealants, which coat the hard-to-reach rear teeth, can protect teeth for years to come. In fact, these protective sealants can provide protection against tooth cavities for as long as ten years in some cases.

If you are searching for family dentists in Richmond who can provide children’s dentistry, contact us. We want to help you find affordable dental care. With routine care kids not only enjoy healthy and strong smiles, but they also understand the importance of good oral hygiene. These visits can start them on the path to a lifetime of healthy gums and teeth. All of it starts with that first consultation. So, use our search tool to find the best dentist for you!

We’ve reached the time of the year when adults and children will be playing sports. While we hope everyone enjoys their activities, we know that dental injuries are possible. Sometimes, especially with full contact sports, teeth could be damaged, and when damage occurs, you need dental care. Even minor damages could lead to an increased risk of aching teeth. Doctors Network can help you access a dentist that is open on Saturdays in Richmond, VA who can repair your smile.

The outer layer of the tooth provides protection against tooth decay. The enamel protects the sensitive inner structures from bacteria, and from oral health complications. But when a tooth is cracked, it could lead to painful symptoms. You need treatment to safeguard your smile. Likewise, you should let us know if you need a Richmond emergency dentist who accepts patients without dental insurance for less severe emergencies. Sudden toothaches and objects caught between the teeth could compromise your smile. Don’t forget that loose teeth could lead to weakened smiles as well. You also need care if a crown or tooth filling comes loose!

Once you visit Doctors Network and begin looking for your Richmond, VA dentist, take steps to avoid complications by taking over-the-counter medications to ease discomfort. A piece of gauze can stem bleeding. Applying an ice pack can ease facial swelling too. If a tooth is damaged or knocked loose, recover the tooth or any pieces and bring them in a sealed container. They can be placed in a glass of cold milk or salt water.

Gum contouring employs dental lasers to reshape the gum line and manage gum disease. When a tooth becomes abscessed, treatment is necessary. Not seeking care means the tooth could essentially die. At this stage, the tooth might need to be extracted. Otherwise, the infection moves into other parts of the smile. Often, a better treatment for an infected tooth is root canal therapy. The procedure is effective, but sometimes a root canalled tooth becomes infected again, and retreatment could be needed. You may need to find one of our Richmond emergency dentists for additional endodontic treatment.

A root canal involves removing the tissues from inside of the tooth. The interiors and root canals are cleaned, and a restorative material known as gutta percha is then administered. Often, the tooth is then restored with a tooth crown. The restoration is often custom-made to protect the tooth and also look natural. But if the procedure does not go as expected, the prognosis of the condition could be unpredictable. The tooth could begin developing symptoms, such as toothaches and discomfort when biting down. If you experience discomfort, do not risk tooth loss. Doctors Network can connect you with a dental office in Richmond, VA that can offer additional treatment and accepts patients who do not have dental insurance.

If you don’t have dental coverage don’t let that discourage you! Doctors Network can offer a direct dental plan to make dental care budget-friendly. With a monthly membership fee, you can undergo necessary root canal retreatment at a reasonable cost!

Oral health declines when we lose natural teeth. Obviously, there are problems with eating your favorite foods. Even talking clearly could be a problem. However, the major problem is the loss of mass and density in the jaw. This weakens the jaw, and could even cause an older appearance. More importantly, this prevents dental implant placement. Additional treatments could be necessary to strengthen the jaw in order to make dental implant placement possible! Fortunately, Doctors Network could help you book an online appointment with a great Richmond dentist who is in-network with Doctors Network Dental Plan and performs jawbone grafting. In addition, we could also discuss our membership plan to make care affordable!

Jawbone grafting is also known as ridge augmentation. Essentially this enables the dentist to preserve the ridge in your mandible. Your dentist could use various sources. Tissue could be sourced from the back of the jaw or the hip. Donor materials like bovine bone may be recommended too. Others recommend synthetic materials. In a surgical procedure, these are applied to the areas of weakened structure in the mandibular bone.

Once the area heals, one or more dental implants could be placed. The body will see them as natural structures. As a result, they help prevent any further breakdown in the jaw, protecting facial structure. Our team can connect you to a dentist or oral surgeon in Richmond, VA who offers ridge augmentation, and also let you know about our dental plan to make sure your treatment fits your budget!

Virginia isn’t just one of the 13 original colonies; it is home to the first English settlement in the New World, Jamestown. Not long after, Virginia also saw the end of the American Revolution with the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown. With its close proximity to the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., more Virginians today work for the government than any other industry, equaling about a quarter of the state’s population. Nevertheless, out of the state’s 8.4 million residents, over 10% do not have insurance, which can make keeping up with routine dental care difficult and expensive. That’s why Doctors Network has teamed up with dentists across the Old Dominion State to provide patients with more affordable direct dental plans. Whether you have insurance or not, a direct dental plan guarantees that you can receive the high-quality of care you deserve while paying significantly reduced prices.
